It is essentially the CVT 3100 MKII minus all the Preamp functionality and connectivity. It's key reason for existing is that it can be configured to deliver twice the power of the Stereo version if required. It was designed to be a "separate" that could be used with AMC's own separate Preamps, the CVT 1030 MKII or the Solid State Xpi...or with preamps from other manufactures.
