Unique vintage Southeast Asian hanging vessel in a traditional Khmer/Thai-inspired style, featuring intricate hand-hammered repoussé floral and scrolling motifs across the entire surface. The oval-shaped container is wrapped in an elegant network of curb-link suspension chains that connect to a hanging loop, creating a striking sculptural appearance. Historically, vessels of this form were commonly used for lime paste in betel nut preparation or as small hanging containers for incense and spices. The silver-tone metal has developed a rich aged patina with darker recessed tones that beautifully emphasize the detailed hand-chased designs.
