Antique German Lithophane Beer Stein w/ Pewter Lid §11 Mark

Antique German beer stein. A "Daubenkrug" style or barrel design with a pewter lid marked NBM and a red handle. The front has '§11.' referring to a humorous regulation in German student and craftsman drinking culture known as the Bier-Comment (Beer Code). Paragraph 11 reads: "Es wird fortgesoffen," which translates to "Keep on drinking." 18 CM tall w/lid 8 CM wide stein body 7 CM wide opening Great for collectors or as a display piece.
