This is an antique solid oak coat tree stand in a Mission / Arts & Crafts / Craftsman style, featuring quarter sawn oak (often called Tiger Eye grain or Tiger Oak), to showcase the grain for extra beauty. This coat tree stands very sturdy and stable. ◉ Made in the early 1900s (Edwardian period). ◉ Solid Oak. ◉ Beautiful Quarter Sawn (Tiger Eye / Tiger Oak) grain. ◉ Lovely patina of age. ◉ Sturdy, firm and solid (no sway or wobble like modern reproductions). ◉ Stable even when loaded with coats! (unlike Ikea or Amazon). ◉ Hooks are solid brass. ◉ This rack has 4 solid brass Double hooks, for a total of 8 hooks in all. The top 2 are larger and darker.
