Vintage Singer Sewing Machine with Motor

This is a vintage Singer sewing machine made in 1948 in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.
It includes the original sewing motor and foot pedal. The machine is housed in a wooden base and comes with a decorative bentwood Singer carrying case. The case is lockable; however I do not have the key. I use a little screwdriver that is included with the sale of the machine.
Yes, the machine works, as shown in the video, however the thread tension needs a slight adjustment. If I have time, I will attend to that. Sorry, the video didn’t upload. Will keep on trying…
I have an electronic version of the user manual I’d be happy to share with the buyer.
It is known as one of Singer’s most durable and widely used machines. It is excellent for straight stitching and apparently can even sew light leather.
For me it was more of a display item, a conversation piece, because of its interesting history.
