A similar watch was recently listed for $3,359 plus shipping & tax. This vintage piece features the "Oyster Patent" on the crown and "RWC" (Rolex Works Company) inside the case. It measures 30 mm in diameter and 10 mm in height. Please note there's an imperceptible crack line inside the glass, which is very hard to see. The Solar Aqua was the in-house brand for the Eaton department store, a Canadian institution. This is one of the lesser-known Rolex/Tudor brands, especially outside of Canada. Manufactured between 1944-45 and inscribed in 1947. The crown screws down tightly. It currently has a black Italian Genuine Leather strap and was professionally serviced.
