Antique Oil Lamp
$225
Beautiful decorative antique oil lamp. Easily over 100 years old.
Likely produced between 1880-1910.
The wick is like new, still very long. The thumb wheel wick adjuster works properly, and is made by the American company Aetna.
The kerosene reservoir holds liquid, and when I lit the lamp, everything functioned properly.
However, after further testing, I discovered that it has an extremely slow leak coming from one of the crimped welds on the bottom of the kerosene reservoir.
Unless you are inclined to re-solder the bottom, this lamp should be used for decorative use only, or if you'd like to light it, it should only be used outdoors.
It comes with a curved glass chimney flute, which fits properly, and is also in excellent condition.
The only imperfections are two small depressions in the side of the kerosene reservoir (see pic #7), and the slow leak.
The entire lamp is ornate, covered in decorative accents, and is a real eye-catcher.
Very unique item, from the late Victorian era.
