As with most vintage mechanical timepieces, the watch may gain or lose up to ±5 minutes per 24 hours, which is considered normal for watches of this age. Each watch is tested on a timegrapher prior to shipping to ensure the best possible accuracy. How to Start & Wind a Hand-Winding Mechanical Watch 1. Start the Movement (If Stopped) Gently move the watch side-to-side for 5–8 seconds to activate the balance wheel. Use light wrist motion only — avoid aggressive shaking. 2. Wind the Watch (Crown Method) Hold the watch securely. Turn the crown clockwise, slowly and smoothly. Wind 15–20 full rotations to properly start the movement. Stop when you feel light resistance — this indicates the mainspring is fully wound. Do not force or over-wind the crown. 3. Daily Use Wind once per day, ideally at the same time each day. A fully wound hand-wind watch typically runs 24–48 hours, depending on the model. Please note that all watches are refurbished vintage timepieces. Due to age, some parts such as the dial, strap, or external components may be restored or replaced. However, the original movement is always retained and never changed.
