Joy of Cooking by Irma S. Rombauer and Marion Rombauer Becker

This 1975 edition is published by Bobbs-Merrill and includes a red ribbon bookmark. It is over 900 pages in length! The Joy of Cooking was self-published by Irma S. Rombauer in 1931, after her husband’s death. The cookbook went from an initial 3,000 copy publication to one of the most successful and iconic cookbooks, selling over 20 million copies over nine editions. Marion Rombauer Becker, Irma's daughter revised and updated each subsequent edition until 1975. This 1975 edition was the first after Irma's death and was completely Marion's. Her son, Ethan Becker revised the 1975 edition for the 75th Anniversary Edition. This edition would make a fantastic addy to your collection or start you down the path of a great collection. A perfect gift for vintage/retro kitchen enthusiasts. It is in very good vintage condition. There are no ripped or missing pages, no writing in the book and the spine is in good condition.
