Set of 4 Vintage Danish Teak Dining Chairs
$375
These teak chairs feature sculptural and ergonomic curved teak frames, formed backrests and slim tapered legs. The design closely corresponds to documented examples attributed to Danish designer Henning Kjærnulf for Korup Stolefabrik, produced in Denmark during the 1960s. There are no surviving manufacturer labels or stamps on these chairs, so the Kjærnulf/Korup attribution is based on archival documentation, such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources. The teak frames have been fully refinished: stripped, sanded and refinished to bring out the beautiful natural grain and warm colour of the wood. They present beautifully and are sturdy. The cream textured upholstery has been cleaned and complements the teak beautifully. The exact fibre content is unknown; it has a wool/wool-blend type texture. The seats could benefit from a deeper professional cleaning for any slight unevenness in colour remaining. Set of 4. $375 per chair. Dimensions (each): 31” H × 20” W × 16” D. Sold as a complete set. Pick up in the High Park area.
