1985 Children's Step Stool, Edm. Sheltered Workshop History

A genuine, one-owner 1980s solid wood children's step stool with a fantastic piece of local Alberta history attached. This stool was originally used in 1985 and has been carefully kept in the family since. It features a classic retro blue painted finish with a white screen-printed nursery rhyme and character illustration on top that reads: "This little stool is mine, I use it all the time, To reach the things I couldn't, And lots of things I shouldn't." The underside still retains its clear, original historical paper manufacturer label from The Sheltered Workshop Society (7305 99 Street, Edmonton). Because these traditional workshops closed decades ago as community organizations transitioned to modern advocacy, items carrying these original labels are scarce and highly collectible pieces of local Edmonton history. Specifications: Year: 1985 (Vintage) Material: Solid Wood Dimensions: 12" Long x 8" Wide x 7.5" High Origin: Made in Edmonton, Alberta Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. Sturdy and structurally solid, showing authentic paint wear, minor scuffs, and natural distressing from decades of history. Pickup in Nichols Crescent, Red Deer
