Vintage Fossilized Sand Dollar Specimen
$35
This piece is a natural fossilized sand dollar (echinoid), preserved in sedimentary rock. It features a clearly visible five-petaled pattern (petaloid ambulacra) on the aboral side and branching food grooves leading to the peristome on the oral side. The specimen is housed in a secondary vintage confectionery presentation box from Rogers' Chocolates (British Columbia). Fossil echinoderms of this nature are classic natural history collectibles and decorative curiosities.
