Antique 1930s Art Deco Brass & Onyx Torchiere Floor Lamp
$525
Authentic Art Deco / Neoclassical torchiere floor lamp dating from the mid-to-late 1930s. This premium-tier lamp features exceptional craftsmanship characteristic of top-period foundries like the Rembrandt Lamp Corporation and Mutual Sunset. It is in beautiful, retail-ready condition. Key Features & Details: -Thick frosted-amber glass torchiere shade with an embossed grapevine-and-leaf motif (produced by Houze Glass or Gillinder Brothers). The shade is in immaculate condition with zero chips or cracks anywhere including around the rim or the central seating neck. -Heavy cast metal frame base with authentic, translucent cream-and-amber onyx stone slab insert. The stone has natural mineral veining and is structurally solid. Equipped with a heavy-duty vintage Leviton Mogul-size (E39) three-way socket. The rotary turn-switch clicks firmly and smoothly through multiple brightness settings. Features a flexible, later-era replacement cord and plug. The wiring has been inspected, remains fully flexible (not brittle or dry-rotted), and operates safely with no flickering. Includes oversized Mogul-base three-way incandescent bulb (Note: You can easily use modern E39 LED bulbs or a standard E39-to-E26 adapter if you wish to use regular household bulbs). Overall: Excellent vintage condition. The metal body retains its beautiful, authentic 1930s aged patina with minor, honest surface wear consistent with age. No reproduction parts.
