Large Native American Studio/Flatstyle Painting

This art work is in the mid-century Native American Studio/Flatstyle. The painting depicts a dramatic scene with riders and fleeing animals under a stormy, fiery sky. The composition closely follows Blackbear Bosin's well-known 1955 painting 'Prairie Fire. Canvas on wooden stretcher bars. The painting was inherited with no paperwork. It is said to have been painted in the 1960's by an indigenous artist from BC. It is hand painted and in good condition available for pick up.
