This collection includes five vintage wristwatches from various brands. It features gold and silver-tone metal bracelets and cases. These pieces offer a classic look for any collection. Nice little gold-tone time capsule. None are solid gold — all are base metal / gold-plated with stainless backs, so value is collector only. Second - Bulova Accutron Day-Date Gold Plated - The keeper Back says BULOVA 10KT ROLLED GOLD PLATE BACK with Speidel USA band, hand-engraved W. J. W. A.U.S. 1963. Fitted with a matching yellow gold plated bracelet.  • Value if it hums (tuning fork working): $180-$300 USD / $245-$405 CAD • If not humming / quartz later version: $75-$140 USD This one loses 40% value because of the personal engraving, but Accutron collectors still pay for the 218. 3. Middle - Citizen Quartz Seven Day-Date Silver Case Back says CITIZEN WATER RESIST BASE METAL SSG 1400-282931 KT 20800895 MYSTERY… Perfect plan — that's where the money is. A $10 battery turns a $40 "parts" watch into a $180 runner. For this lot, here's what to grab so you only make one trip: Take the old batteries with you to the shop, don't guess. All of these are silver-oxide, not alkaline — you want SR, not LR. Bring the watches, any decent watch guy will match it in 30 seconds. Quick cheat sheet so you know what they should be: 1. Seiko H357-5109 Ana-Digi (gold ana-digi) 2 batteries inside: 1x SR44W / 303 for the analog, 1x SR43SW / 301 for the LCD. If it's corroded, don't force it — that module is worth more than the case. 2. Bulova Accutron 218 (gold day-date, engraved back) - IMPORTANT Original was 1.35v mercury 343. Do NOT put a regular 1.55v 344 in it without a spacer/drop. You need an Accucell-1 1.35v or a 344 with the little brass spacer. A straight 1.55v will make it hum too fast and fry the coils. If the shop doesn't know Accutrons, skip it and take it to an old-school jeweller. 3. Citizen 1400-282931KT SR920SW / 371 4. Seiko SQ 7546-5969 (gold day-date, 960320) SR920SW / 371 or SR43SW / 301 depending on sub-ref — again, bring the dead one. 5. Seiko Tank Roman SR626SW / 377 While you're there: • Ask them to check for battery leak / green crust — if you see white/green powder, that's a $0 parts watch unless you clean it with a q-tip and vinegar • Don't let them pressure-test "water resistant" — these gaskets are 45 years old • Ask for the dead batteries back — if a watch still doesn't run with new battery, it's movement, not battery Pop new cells in, let them run overnight, then send me a quick video of each second hand moving + the Accutron humming. I'll re-price them as runners vs. non-runners and write you the 5 listings ready to paste — the H357 and the Accutron alone should cover the battery cost 10x.
