Vintage RCMP Quarterly Magazine Collection 1960s-1970s

Collection of approximately 14 vintage issues/items of The RCMP Quarterly, the historic publication of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. These are original period RCMP publications rather than modern reproductions, with examples in the collection dating from at least 1960 through 1972, including: • April 1960 – Vol. 25, No. 4 • January 1972 – Vol. 37, No. 1 • Numerous additional vintage issues from the same general period The magazines contain a wide variety of original RCMP material, photography and articles covering Canadian policing, RCMP history, northern and rural operations, aircraft, wildlife, ceremonial events, Canadian communities and other aspects of the Force. One particularly interesting article shown is “History In The Making” by Cpl. B. Dawson, documenting RCMP involvement with the Royal Canadian Mint and the production/security surrounding Canada’s gold coinage. Great collection of original Canadian historical material for an RCMP collector, retired/current member, militaria or police memorabilia collector, Canadian-history enthusiast, archive, or display collection. Condition varies by issue due to age. Expect normal vintage wear including creases, edge wear, discoloration, marks and some cover damage. Many are currently stored in protective plastic sleeves.
