How to Install (Standard Electric Version): Turn off power: Switch OFF the dedicated circuit breaker to your stove range and verify that the stove display or clock has lost power. Unplug the stove: Carefully pull your stove away from the wall and disconnect the 4-prong power cord from the outlet (this type of 4 prong outlet is 220V in Canada) Connect FireAvert: Plug your stove’s power cord directly into the receptacle on the front of the FireAvert unit. Plug into the wall: Line up the back blades of the FireAvert with your wall outlet and firmly press it in with both hands until it sits completely flush against the wall. Position the stove: Push the stove back into place against the wall, ensuring the FireAvert unit is not pinched or squeezed. Note: You must push the stove back into position before powering it on, as its listening calibration relies on its final placement behind the range. Restore power: Switch the circuit breaker back ON.
