Antique Late Victorian Wood w/Brass Repousse Firewood/Coal Chest

Antique, late 19th century, Victorian wooden and brass repousse firewood/coal chest. It has a six sided form with canted front, enclosed by a hinged lid that’s decorated with a figural countryside scene. The front panel depicts a tavern scene, while the sides and corner panels portray allegorical imagery, reminiscent of the Art Nouveau movement. It is in original condition with a warm patina.
