Vintage Indigenous Arctic Winter Mukluks - Handcrafted
$250
Beautifully preserved pair of vintage, authentic Arctic winter boots (mukluks / kamiks). These are entirely handmade by Indigenous Arctic artisans using traditional materials, patterns, and stitching techniques. Traditional Sole Construction: Features an authentic, multi-layered hide sole. Please note: The edges display the traditional layered/crimped stitching characteristic of native Arctic footwear craftsmanship. This multi-layering is fully intentional for durability and insulation, not wear or ripping. Details: Beautiful natural texturing, hand-woven blue and brown geometric trim at the collar, and genuine leather wraps/soles. It also features a woven wool inner to keep your feet extra toasty. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Soft, clean, and structurally sound. Fit: Soft, flexible bottom panels. Best suited as collector's pieces or cold-weather indoor display footwear. Perfect for collectors of Indigenous art, textile traditions, or heritage footwear displays. Please see photos for precise stitching details and displays of ingenuity. I tried them on and in a size 11.5-12 and my foot fit but my toe was bumping into the end pretty significantly so a size 10-10.5 which is what I was I informed when I bought them.
