Valemount BC Carved Wood Wildlife Magnet Pair

This set consists of two handcrafted folk art refrigerator magnets featuring wildlife motifs, specifically a howling wolf and a stag deer or caribou. Both pieces are carved from lightweight wood, airbrushed or hand-painted with earthy tones, and etched with 'Valemount BC', a mountain village in eastern British Columbia near the Canadian Rockies. Valemount is well known as a tourist gateway for outdoor recreation, Mount Robson Provincial Park, and wildlife watching. These souvenir items reflect traditional Canadian roadside artisan gift shop crafts popular throughout the late 20th century.
