MY FRIEND IS MISSING... Joel K Foster, M29 #Edmonton

My Friend and Former Housemate Joel K.Foster M30, is a Missing Person, as reported by his Mother Cecelia. I was only made aware he was Missing within the last week. Joel is 5'7 at the time of his disappearance he would have been roughly 165 lbs. Blue eyes Ruddy Blonde Hair as seen in photos attached. Hardened complexion presumably from being in the Elements the last 6 weeks or so. Most recently he has been described as being scruffy and somewhat emaciated in appearance wrapped in a Grey Blanket. While there have been multiple potential sightings reported, I don't know that we are any closer to finding Joel than when we first started. The facts as we know them to be Verified & True: Joel has suffered a number of Personal Setbacks this year. His consumption of Alcohol increased dramatically, he fell into a pattern of regularly using Recreational Drugs which ultimately escalated to Harder Drug Use. As noted by EPS. Police were called to his Residence more than once leading upto his disappearance. EPS has had at minimum 4 direct contacts with Joel in the month of August. On Monday August 10th, Monday August 17th, Sunday August 23rd and Thursday August 27th. Joel's disappearance is Voluntary in Nature. He is known to both Police and RCMP alike, lives with Addiction related Mental Health Issues. It is important to note that EPS are not actively investigating his Disappearance. Sunday August 23rd Joel was reported to be camping out at Kings University Campus. From there he was transported to U of A Hospital. For reasons unknown to us, neither a 51/50 Hold nor a Form 10 was completed, he was not assessed and voluntarily left the Emergency Room at approximately 1pm according to People who observed him that day On Thursday August 27th Joel was issued a Trespassing Ticket. Again for camping out on KU Campus. There has been no further contact with Joel since August 27th. His phone is out of Service We believe Joel spent most of the last month Within distance of Kings University and the greater Capilano area… over the last week we have received potential sightings into Forest Heights 79 St @ 101 Ave and into the Capilano Ravine. From there we believe he may have moved towards 98 Ave and ultimately the Legislative Grounds. And may be camping out along the N. Saskatchewan River. We have covered extensive grounds in our Search for Joel, without turning up any definitive leads. To some degree He has integrated himself within the outer fringe of our Houseless Community, often known by name or recognized & referred to as Blondïe, Sunshine, or Smiley. None of which have seen him in recent weeks. Yesterday Tuesday September 22nd was Joel's 30th Birthday, and we are soon approaching 30 days without any further contact. As Seasons change and Temperatures begin to dip to Fall lows, at or below freezing. We are hoping Joel will begin to seek shelter indoors. As he has mentioned such agencies as Hope Mission priorly At this time we ask that you do not approach Joel directly, we do not know his current mental state. Unfortunately he can be unpredictable and is prone to angry outbursts. { as per EPS } Our fear is If indeed he is in the grip of Paranoia, and believes he is being “ followed “ he may escalate towards a more tragic end than that of just being a missing person. We are asking that if possible to please try to take a photo or video of Joel if you see him. Particularly please take note of what he may be wearing, what time of day and an Intersection or nearby Landmark. Please see attached photos for reference.
