About the Artist Artist: John Clifford Huffington (American, 1864–1929) Background: A well-regarded American impressionist landscape painter based in Connecticut and New York. He was known for painting rustic New England landscapes, coastal scenes, farmhouses, and autumn rural settings. Value Considerations Original Paintings: Original oil or watercolor works by John C. Huffington generally sell at art auctions in the $200 to $600+ range depending on size and condition. Framed Prints/Reproductions: As established in your close-up detail, this piece is a flat printed reproduction under glass rather than an original painting. Because of this, it is valued as secondary decorative art (estimated at $30 to $60 USD), with the majority of the value residing in the large frame and double-matting setup.
