This grow-with-me trike has 3-stages: Stage 1) PUSH- Parents have full control while pushing and steering the trike when child is too young to reach the pedals. Stage 2) LEARN - At this stage, the child can begin to practice steering and pedaling while parents still guide the way Stage 3) RIDE - The child can take full control and ride the trike all on their own!
