Plate - 16" x 10" x 1.5" Tureen with lid - 9" tall The Tureen features a footed base, twin side handles. a lidded top with a conical finial . The piece was manufactured by Thomas Elsmore & Son at the Clayhills Pottery in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. • Manufacturer: Thomas Elsmore & Son (formerly Elsmore & Forster), active in Tunstall circa 1872-1887. • Date: The pattern is typically dated to 1878. • Style: Victorian Aesthetic Movement, which often combined naturalistic elements (butterflies, flowers) with stylized oriental motifs like fans, urns, and geometric borders. • Material: Often referred to as "Parisian Granite" or English ironstone. Overall good condition with some signs of wear or use. The lid has a crack that was reinforced to prevent breakage which is barely visible on top. The photos and videos show this repair .
