Mayflower shadow box with knots and hitches (Vintage)

Vintage nautical history and potentially LIFE SAVING shadow box!!! Hang this on the wall in your East coast themed bathroom if you must. but.... the story I was told is that this saved the lives of 3 Alaskan sailors in the fall of 1920. it was a cold November and this piece was in an early version of Long John Silvers called Thee Fat Ole Cod. and because those sailors are there daily... they subconsciously memorized the knots. they were then kidnapped by a Russian steamship and the escaped by reverse engineering those knots from starring at this very piece while they drank and ate beans and boiled cod. wow...
