About the Artist: Nancy Ortenstone Nancy Ortenstone is a celebrated American abstract painter based in the legendary art colony of Taos, New Mexico. Having studied under master artist Nathan Oliveira, her work is heavily influenced by lyrical expressionism and the color-field mastery of Mark Rothko and Helen Frankenthaler. Ortenstone’s paintings are profoundly shaped by the atmospheric light, shifting mountain hues, and expansive skies of the American Southwest. Rather than painting literal landscapes, she captures "the changing weather of the soul," treating canvas like a musical composition where colors harmonize like a melody. Her work is held in prestigious corporate and private collections across the United States, including Harvard Law School and Macy's. Nearest intersection Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue
