The stud finder comes from an estate and seems to have hardly been used. It’s in like new condition. This particular model has some additional features beyond basic stud finders. Features: Two scanning modes allow you to scan more surfaces in your home than normal stud finders. Stud Scan mode scans through surfaces up to 19 mm deep and DeepScan mode doubles the scanning depth to 38 mm deep. Its easy-to-read display screen indicates stud edges, the patented SpotLite® Pointer shines a beam of light on the wall to identify the target, and WireWarning® detection indicates the presence of live AC voltage. Patented pivot pinch grip design and contoured shape provide an easy, secure hold in either hand, at any angle. Makes stud finding fast and simple. Easy to read display screen. Stud Scan mode locates the edges of wood or metal studs up to 19 mm (3/4") deep. DeepScan(TM) mode doubles the scanning depth to 38 mm (1-1/2"). WireWarning(TM) detection indicates the presence of live, unshielded electrical wiring up to 51 mm (2") deep. Should scanning begin over a stud, "over-the-stud" indicator alerts the user to start the scan in a new location. TruCal(TM) technology calibrates to any wall's density and the TruCal(TM) icon indicates when the tool is ready and calibrated. 9V battery required.
