✨ Antique Quarter-Sawn Tiger Oak Serpentine Dresser

A truly exceptional antique quarter-sawn tiger oak dresser, believed to date to the early 20th century and beautifully restored to showcase the incredible natural character of the wood. The star of this piece is undoubtedly the tiger oak grain. Beautiful ribbon-like figuring and dramatic grain movement can be seen across the top, drawer fronts, sides and lower apron — details that simply cannot be replicated in modern mass-produced furniture. Rather than covering this beautiful wood with paint, the dresser underwent an extensive refinishing process. The previous finish was completely stripped away, the wood carefully sanded, stained and refinished, allowing the extraordinary quarter-sawn oak grain to take centre stage while preserving the character expected of a piece of this age. The elegant serpentine front gives the dresser a beautiful curved profile, complemented by its shaped legs, decorative carved apron and gorgeous ornate brass hardware. The original-style keyhole escutcheons add another layer of old-world character. The interiors have also been thoughtfully refreshed, with elegant floral-lined drawers providing a beautiful finishing touch.
