Thick mediums & brushwork with a soft glazing to give a serene sky feel. Lots of movement across the horizon and Eastern shore - a storm blowing thru. There is some gloss in the thick brushstrokes which captures a bit of light which is striking. The soft glazing in the sky was done with an oil diffuser effect so it appears as if there’s a cloudy haze that light is escaping from. A video tour of the painting is available on request.
