Vintage Jackson Beardy Flock Penguins Print MCM Indigenous 12x10
$90
A beautiful vintage piece of Canadian Indigenous design: a framed
mid-century art print of "Flock" (1973) by the legendary Anishinaabe
(Ojibway) artist Jackson Beardy (1944–1984).
Beardy was an iconic member of the historic Indian Group of Seven. This
striking piece features his signature Woodland School style, utilizing
elegant, curving black lines, stark negative space, and deep minimalist
color blocks to depict a stylized flock of abstract penguins.
The print features Beardy's distinct block signature and the '73 date
printed in the plate matrix. Housed in a vintage thin-profile frame
under glass, it is a perfect small-scale statement piece for a gallery
wall, retro cottage look, or mid-century modern space.
