Vintage Chinese Woven Hat

This vintage broad-rimmed conical hat is made from natural straw material and was purchased in mainland China in 1980. It features a distinctive woven pattern and adjustable ties. The hat has some Chinese characters painted on the brim. The diameter is about 20 inches / 51 cm. The hat is not comfortable to wear but would be an interesting object to hang on the wall or add to a collection.
