ISO Antique 78 rpm records (1890s-1950s+)

Have old, dusty records lying about, thinking they could just be thrown out or donated? Well, I can take them off your hands instead! I'm your guy, Dashiell, a local young 78 record historian and collector. Located in Vancouver, near Gastown! 78 rpm records are any records made from 1890–1947 (though quite a few were made from 1947–1960, while 45 singles and LPs were being made). They are mostly 10 inches in size (though some are 7-inch and 12-inch as well, and even in between). Their most notable characteristic is that, unlike vinyl records, they are not flexible and are quite firm and breakable. They are made out of a material called "shellac" (think of it like how ceramic plates are rigid and breakable, and you get the idea). In my post are some picture examples of 78 rpm records, but I'm always up to buying 78s outside of these examples! I am always looking to purchase them or take them away, depending on what you have. Ethnic records (78s in other languages), blues, hot jazz, etc. are worth more than pop music. "Wax cylinders" are cylindrical records about the size of an empty toilet roll (although some can be larger). They were mostly produced by Edison and Columbia (although there were many brands back then). They were made from the 1890s until 1929 and can be made from either wax or celluloid. I'm interested in any, but note that it's much more difficult to find interesting cylinders than discs. I am also interested in any talking machines (gramophones and phonographs of any kind), as well as 16-inch transcription records (VERY large vinyl/acetate/shellac records made for radio).
