Early 20th-century antique cast iron "Billiken on Throne" still coin bank, manufactured by the renowned A.C. Williams Company between 1909 and 1912. This piece features exceptionally crisp casting with deep, clear high-relief patent numbers on the reverse side: "PATENT NO 39603" (granted Oct. 6, 1908, for the character) and "PATENT NO 39766" (granted Jan. 5, 1909, for the throne configuration). The hardware: retains its original, era-correct central flathead assembly screw. Displays an honest, untouched antique bronze and gold flash patina with wonderful age appropriate oxidation. No modern spray paint or enhancements. A wonderful, historically rich addition to any vintage toy, cast iron, or still bank collection.
