Selling an early production Stanley No. 131 double-ended block plane. This is the highly desirable early variation featuring the original "Stanley Rule & Level Co." arched logo stamped on the iron and crisp patent dates cast into the body. Mechanics: 100% functional. The often-broken internal adjustment yoke/frog mechanism is completely intact, uncracked, and moves smoothly. Cosmetics: Fair, user-restorable condition with approximately 50% of the original black japanning finish intact. Clear patent stamps. Parts: Includes the original turned rosewood front knob (no cracks). Excellent candidate for a sympathetic restoration or a unique addition to a vintage hand tool collection.
