Authentic hand-knotted Persian Tabriz Wool and Silk Rug

Beautiful authentic hand-knotted Persian Tabriz rug, handmade in Iran from a combination of wool and silk. Purchased in 2001 from Artin Handmade Rugs Ltd. and accompanied by its original documentation and Certificate of Authenticity. This is a finely woven rug with an exceptionally detailed traditional Tabriz design. It features a rich burgundy field surrounding an elaborate central medallion, with intricate floral and geometric motifs throughout. Deep navy, ivory, burgundy, rust, gold, turquoise and muted blue-grey accents create remarkable depth and detail. The reverse clearly shows the hand-knotted construction and fine weave. A manual count gives approximately 12 × 15 knots per inch, or approximately 180 knots per square inch (KPSI). This is an estimate rather than a professional knot-count certification.
