Vintage "Made in Occupied Japan" Salt & Pepper Shakers

Beautiful ornate matching set of vintage salt and pepper shakers. These are historical pieces stamped "Made in Occupied Japan" dating them precisely between 1945 and 1952. They feature a classic Victorian-revival silhouette with detailed floral cartouche engravings on a hexagonal base. Stamped on the bottom with "EP Lead", indicating a substantial lead alloy base electroplated in silver. Good vintage condition with a lovely aged patina. Some light wear to the silver-plating consistent with age (adds character). Screw top lids; interiors are clean and ready for use or display. 4 1/2" high x 1 1/2" at the widest point.
