Depression-era Amber Glass Relish Dish With Gold Trim

    Art & Collectibles ·

    $50

This is a Depression era amber glass relish dish from the 1930’s and was influenced by the art deco style of the time. This serving dish perfect for charcuterie, chips and dip, candy or any type of food you think is appropriate. It has 4 unique geometric shaped dishes and a smaller circular dish in the center. They all fit on a larger dish that has a sunburst pattern on the bottom. Some of the gold trim faded over time and there are some minor superficial scratches on the underside of the larger dish. Cash only pickup in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn Depression glass refers to glassware that was mass-produced during the Great Depression era (1929-1939). It was often given away as premiums or sold at low prices to make it affordable for families during the economic hardship. Amber-colored glass was a popular choice during this period. The gold trim and etched designs added a touch of elegance to these popular pieces.
