The Treasury of Song - The Richest, Best-Loved Gems - 1882

    Books & Music ·

    $20

"The Treasury of Song for The Home Circle" is an 1882 first edition hardcover book published by Hubbard Brothers Publishers. This vintage book, with a total of 548 pages, is a collection of the richest, best-loved gems of music. It is filled with songs in English and is personalized with an inscription from the author, Prf. D.H. Morrison, Musical Editor. The book is intended for young adults and adults who appreciate music and are looking for a nostalgic journey through the songs of the 1800s. This hardcover book is in very rough condition, as to be expected with any book of this age. There is fraying to both the cover edging and the spinal edging. The corners are rounded and fraying from both storage and use. There is a significant amount of spinal separation noted on both the exterior and multiple interior spots. There is discoloration and staining from both storage and exposure throughout the last 100+ years. The secondary front cover page has an ownership inscription in beautiful penmanship from the time period. The title page has beautiful and original colored illustrations. There is an occasional turned corner to pages throughout the book. Feel free to ask for additional pics. Please check out my other listings.
