Vintage Amplifier & Receiver Repair - Toronto
$50
Vintage hi-fi is built better than almost anything sold today and it dies of capacitors. · One channel dead or intermittent · Hum or hiss regardless of source · Crackling volume pot or scratchy inputs · Powers on then clicks off (protection circuit) · Speaker terminals or input jacks broken · Dead completely $50 diagnostic, credited. $100 for a targeted repair once the fault is confirmed. $275 for a full recap where the unit warrants it. Marantz, Pioneer, Sansui, Technics, Yamaha, Denon, NAD, Harman Kardon, and modern gear too. A note before you bring me something: I work on solid-state. I don't work on tube amps — the voltages are genuinely dangerous and it's a specialty I'm not going to pretend to have. I'd rather point you elsewhere than learn on your amp. Send photos of the unit and the back panel, and tell me what it's doing.
