Handcrafted Wooden Parrot Puzzle Box

A wonderful bit of tactile vintage folk art for a desk, bookshelf, or vanity. This hand-crafted parrot puzzle box is constructed using beautiful intarsia wood techniques, fitting together various tones and grains of natural wood to create its stylized design. It features a clever hidden locking mechanism—by sliding out the key wooden segment, the interlocking pieces detach to reveal a secret compartment inside the bird's body. The hidden chamber is lined with a beautiful, soft red velvet flocking, making it perfect for storing rings, small jewelry treasures, or a secret key completely out of sight. • The Details: Hand-carved natural wood puzzle box with velvet-lined interior. Measures approximately 5.5 inches long. • The Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The wood sections are smooth and fit together snugly, with the red interior remaining clean and the secret puzzle locking mechanism functioning exactly as it should.
