Pair of 1930s Antique Gothic Chippendale Mahogany Armchairs
$400
An exceptional, genuine pair of 1930s antique mahogany carver armchairs. These showcase the striking Gothic Revival style, featuring beautifully executed pointed arches and slender vertical splats. Dating to the 1930s, these chairs exhibit the heavy, high-quality timber and tighter joinery characteristic of early 20th-century bench-made furniture. They make a fantastic addition as host chairs for a dining room table, a sophisticated pair for a home office, or statement accent pieces.
Rich, solid mahogany with a beautiful deep patina on the scrolled arms and molded frames. Equipped with traditional drop-in seats in a vintage light blue and white damask/brocade floral pattern, neatly finished with a braided trim. Because they are drop-in style, they can be popped out and reupholstered in minutes to match any colour scheme.
Excellent antique condition, with signs of light wear. Structurally rock solid and very tight. The wood grain has a gorgeous, authentic age-earned sheen. Fabric is clean and free of major wear. Please see photos for details.
Approximate Dimensions: 37" H x 22" W x 21" D
