Beautiful vintage French Provincial slipper chair in the elegant Louis XV style. This charming piece features a beautifully carved solid wood frame, short cabriole legs, and its original, intricately woven jacquard tapestry upholstery. The fabric depicts an ornate 18th-century French pastoral scene showing courtly figures in a lush garden landscape, bordered by rich floral and acanthus leaf details. Because it is a true slipper chair (designed without armrests and with a slightly lower profile), it makes an excellent accent piece for a bedroom, reading nook, fireside seating, or a curated entryway.
