19th century Dutch School landscape oil painting on canvas by the artist G. Smith in a gold coloured gilt wood frame. Signed and dated by the artist to the lower right. Circa 1918. G. Smith was a 19th century artist associated with the Dutch School, which is renowned for its detailed and atmospheric landscape paintings. Exquisite depiction of a rural road, a windmill, a flag, greenery and dark grey rain clouds looming above. The gold coloured gilt wood frame is original to this piece. Great condition. Professionally framed. Any wear commensurates with the age. Art is approximately 13 3/4” wide and 10.5” long. Frame is approximately 19” wide and 15.5” long.
