Two Vintage 1970s Garfield Jigsaw Puzzles

Dive headfirst into pure Gen-X pop culture nostalgia with this wonderfully preserved pair of authentic late 1970s Garfield jigsaw puzzles. Manufactured right here in Canada by the legendary game maker Parker Brothers, these sets feature Jim Davis’s iconic, cynical orange tabby cat at the absolute inception of his global merchandise heyday. The collection features two distinct, highly expressive scenes: a compact 60-piece puzzle showing Garfield measuring his height while accidentally stepping on a small bear, and a larger 140-piece scene depicting "Doctor Garfield" checking the heartbeat of his beloved teddy bear, Pooky. Perfect for vintage cartoon collectors, retro toy shelves, or a cozy evening of analog family fun, these puzzles deliver an incredible burst of vibrant, vintage comic strip aesthetic. Both puzzles boast excellent collector credentials, showing the historic 1978 and 1979 United Feature Syndicate copyright stamps along the side panel borders. Designed specifically for early childhood development with exceptionally sturdy, heavy-duty cardboard construction, the finished puzzles measure 28 x 35.5 cm and 35 x 45 cm respectively. While the original outer pasteboard boxes show honest, age-appropriate edge wear, minor splits, and surface tears from decades of shelf storage, they remain entirely structurally sound and securely hold their contents. The inner puzzle pieces have been completely sorted, counted, and verified as 100% intact, making this a rare, completely ready-to-assemble set of classic cartoon Canadiana. • Puzzle Pieces: Exceptional structural integrity. Every single internal piece is completely present, crisp, and clean, with no bent tabs, peeling graphic layers, or water staining. • Boxes & Finish: The outer lithograph graphics remain remarkably bright, glossy, and free of sun fading. The boxes exhibit minor age-appropriate scuffs, edge wear, and small corner splits, but are fully structurally functional and hold their form perfectly.
